Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick
  • Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs
  • Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials
  • Clean up rig areas
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Standard First Aid Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment

This is a seasonal position that requires working outdoors in various locations, including remote areas. You will be exposed to heights, confined spaces, and hazardous conditions. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.
