Job Title: Floorhand - Oil and Gas Drilling

We are seeking a skilled Floorhand to join our team at Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership. As a Floorhand, you will play a crucial role in the drilling process, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rigs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for manipulating sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor, handling and sorting drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials, and assisting in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials.
  • Clean up rig areas.
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment.
  • Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment.
Requirements:
  • Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) basic safety orientation (BSO) certification.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate.
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection certification.
  • Standard First Aid Certificate.
Work Environment:

This is a seasonal position that requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in confined spaces, and be exposed to dangerous, wet/damp, noisy, and hot conditions.
