Job Title: Law Enforcement Technology Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative professional to join our team as a Law Enforcement Technology Manager. This role will be responsible for leading the management, development, and improvement of law enforcement-related technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide management, direction, leadership, and oversight for the development, deployment, and support of law enforcement technology, including in-vehicle equipment, communications devices, and records management systems.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of policy and best practices related to records management, information analysis, and the development of collaborative intelligence for the branch.
  • Lead needs assessments and the development of business cases, policies, and programs to facilitate IT investment planning, decision making, and monitoring, and ensure alignment within GOS and ministry frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Develop, build, and maintain strategic relationships within the ministry, across government, with other law enforcement agencies, vendors, and stakeholders to identify opportunities, promote the branch, and understand industry trends.
  • Plan and supervise the work of the Law Enforcement Technology and Information Management Unit teams.
Requirements:
  • Experience as an information and technology professional with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build commitment through collaboration, consultation, and consideration of client and stakeholder impact.
  • Capacity to seek opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, actively involving colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to bridge organizational change by ensuring new structures, processes, technologies, mindsets, behaviors, and relationships are well understood.
  • Capacity to develop and clearly articulate goals (organizational, team, and individual) and what is required to achieve them.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of records management systems, system administration, client support services, and/or information management in a law-enforcement setting.
