Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team in Fort St John, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet of heavy duty equipment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty mechanics and experience with diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks. You will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team to maintain accurate records and meet tight deadlines.

This role requires a high level of physical effort, including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting items up to 100 lbs. You must also be willing to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform the job.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
  • 1+ year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
  • Fine motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity
  • Ability to kneel, crawl, and climb
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health, dental, and vision coverage, RRSP and DPSP options, paid holidays, and 10 days of paid time off per year.
