Job Title: Part-Time Math Instructor Wanted

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-Time Math Instructor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and tutoring students in mathematics and English, providing individualized instruction and support to help students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and tutor students in mathematics and English, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in education
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
