We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living Ltd. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and assistance with domestic duties to clients with varying levels of support needs.
- Support clients with physical disabilities, including transfers and use of equipment, and confidence in hoisting.
- Assist with bowel care and catheter care, as required.
- Work actively at night, including sleepovers and short shifts, to provide 24/7 support to clients.
- Participate in a care team approach, working collaboratively with professionals to support clients' goals and outcomes.
- Travel to various locations across the Western suburbs, including Werribee and Altona, to provide support to clients in their homes.
- Good judgment and common sense, with excellent listening skills and a willingness to learn.
- Experience working with clients who have complex support needs, including those with physical disabilities.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, with some short shifts and sleepovers.
- Full driver's license and willingness to provide transport in your own vehicle, with reimbursement for costs.
- Commitment to ongoing shifts and a willingness to work as part of a care team.
- Competitive hourly rate of $43.67, plus salary packaging opportunities.
