Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at the Northern Society for Domestic Peace. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to children and youth in our community.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing the delivery of specific services within the community. This will include providing suicide and crisis intervention, conducting individual and group counselling sessions, and liaising with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs and services for children and youth
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers
  • Maintain program statistics for evaluation and research purposes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) certification
  • Mental health first aid certification
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification
