Job Title: Floor Covering Installer

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at J & A Carpet and Flooring. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by removing any contaminants, old adhesives, or other substances that may interfere with the installation process.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut underlay, underpadding, and flooring materials to ensure a precise fit and to minimize waste.
  • Install Flooring: Install carpeting, resilient flooring, and hardwood flooring on floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Conduct Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure that the installation meets our high standards and that the customer is satisfied with the final result.
  • Work Safely: Work safely and efficiently, using knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting and to ensure a smooth installation process.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
