Job Summary

The Senior Technical Project Lead will oversee the technical execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and schedule. This role collaborates closely with the Project Design Authority (PDA) and Project Manager (PM) to achieve effective project outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to bids/estimates for projects and changes by providing technical expertise.
  • Lead the engineering team in delivering technical program requirements, defining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Organization Breakdown Structure (OBS), as well as the engineering lifecycle and schedule of work.
  • Develop and implement an Engineering Management Plan (including a Software Development Plan) to ensure successful project stage reviews and milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and to acceptable quality standards.
  • Provide strong technical leadership to mature solutions that meet customer requirements and achieve acceptance, accreditation, and certification.
  • Manage project and technical risks and opportunities, implementing an objective and predictive monitoring regime to identify issues early and define recovery actions.
  • Ensure safe working practices and address equipment and personnel safety aspects throughout the project, adhering to legal and company requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the project team, alliance partners, customers/end-users, functions, suppliers, and sub-contractors to deliver against commitments to internal and external customers, deploying best practices and tools tailored for Work Package Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a relevant technical degree/diploma.
  • 9+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years of technical management experience.
  • Experience using the V-Model/Waterfall and/or Scrum Agile methodologies to execute technical work; estimating technical work; resource loading; managing project risks; planning, delegating, and controlling technical work; and configuration and data management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software development experience in back-end web app software development with Java web services and REST API creation and/or management.
  • Experience in defining and implementing Business Process Automation (BPA) flows/processes and using TCDS EDM Tools like Jira, DOORS, Windchill, Palma, and PowerBI.
  • Delivering projects under Fixed Firm and Time & Material contracts, working with In-Service Support Contracts, and following, creating, and updating workflows/processes.
  • P. Eng, MBA, PMP certifications and experience with Agile Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Process Management, PROSCI Change Management, and Trade Compliance Training.
