Prairieland Trenching Ltd is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our hydrovac trucks.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks, maintaining equipment, and adhering to environmental regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about environmental sustainability and has experience working with heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Operate hydrovac trucks to excavate trenches and repair infrastructure while minimizing carbon emissions and fuel consumption
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and repairs, including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
- Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques to improve overall performance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Experience operating hydrovac trucks and working with heavy machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
This is a physically demanding role that requires prolonged sitting and regular exposure to outdoor elements. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
CompensationWe offer a competitive salary of approximately $70,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This amount may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
