Job Title: Truck Driver - International Routes

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced truck driver to join our team at Vinnang Freight Carriers LTD. As a long-haul driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across international routes.

About the Job

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
  • Maintain professionalism in customer service.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
