Chef Job Description

HAPPY JACK'S RESTAURANT is seeking a skilled Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods. You will also ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards and presented in a visually appealing way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Team player with excellent time management skills
