About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Specialist who will support our Chief Privacy Officer and team in developing and leading Holt Renfrew's privacy and CASL program to ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial legislation.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional business acumen, strong judgment, and a minimum of compliance experience. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), detail-oriented, and an exceptional writer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond to access to personal information requests in compliance with federal and provincial laws
  • Spread awareness on privacy best practices and manage the bi-monthly privacy committee meeting
  • Track and manage incoming emails in the privacy office mailbox
  • Administer annual privacy training and deployment tracking
  • Maintenance of data mapping requirements
  • Coordinate with business areas to implement key action items for compliance
  • Support internal audit function with risk register actions impacting privacy and CASL compliance

The ideal candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for the audience
  • Demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
