Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at the Pharmacy Production Centre in Vancouver, BC. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Preparation and Distribution: Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in measuring, packaging, and distributing medications to patient care units.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of medication stock levels, perform inventory checks, and ensure that medications are stored and handled properly.
- Clerical Support: Provide administrative support to the pharmacy team, including typing, filing, and maintaining records of medication use and costs.
- Quality Assurance: Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with medication stock, packaging, or labeling.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of pharmaceutical care.
- Grade 12 graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course
- One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
