Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Best Western Terrace Inn and Terrace Inn Liquor Store. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel and liquor store.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt from floors and surfaces.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Conduct safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our guests and staff.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a pleasant outdoor environment.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability.
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
Work Environment:

Our hotel and liquor store are located in a busy area, and you will be working in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
