Job Summary:

HITACHI RAIL STS CANADA, INC. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and posture of our projects, both physical and digital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security initiatives and standards aligned with our strategic priorities and business objectives.
  • Direct the coordination of security efforts across the organization, partnering with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Act as the point of contact with Contracting Authorities and other external parties regarding system security and assurance activities.
  • Design, develop, and implement the System Security Plan, Project Co Security Management System, and Emergency Response Plan.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to ensure the effective identification, development, management, and assessment of security initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 15 years of experience in security management leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a similar position on rail projects or large public infrastructure projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, independence, and ability to manage priorities.
  • Skilled in interacting and influencing without authority with subcontractors and customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and English speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred.
