Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer

We're seeking a seasoned security leader to drive our information security strategy and program. As Chief Information Security Officer, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive security management program that governs the creation, administration, and oversight of enterprise-wide information security activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a security-first culture while ensuring development teams operate with speed and agility.
  • Build and maintain a security management program that governs enterprise-wide information security activities.
  • Oversee the team responsible for providing security services focused on network and endpoint security, identity access management, vulnerability management, and security tooling for our CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate and integrate security policies and procedures with Wave's parent company.
  • Own and manage security processes with accountability for successful audit compliance (SOC2, PCI, HIPAA) and developer productivity metrics.
  • Drive tooling simplification and management of access controls to reduce costs, business complexity, and risk.
  • Develop long-term vision and thought leadership for the security organization in partnership with Corporate IT, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Define and improve the security incident management process.
  • Perform security reviews for new technologies and vendor risk assessments to enable the business to make informed decisions.
  • Conduct threat and risk analysis of our cloud-based systems, applications, and supply chains.
  • Investigate and triage security incidents and conduct technical and forensic evidence gathering.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in designing and implementing an enterprise information security strategy and program.
  • Previous experience managing a team or acting as a team lead responsible for a technical team.
  • Demonstrated information security experience across multiple disciplines (ops, engineering, incident response, application security, etc).
  • Experience implementing regulatory frameworks such as SOC, PCI, HIPAA, SOX, PIPEDA.
  • Competent with a common scripting language (Python).
