Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is a Canadian supplemental education provider with a proven track record of helping students achieve academic success since 1984.

We are currently seeking a part-time Math and Science Tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Ocean Park in Surrey, BC.

Job Details
  • Type: Part-time
  • Schedule: Evenings (Monday to Friday), Saturdays (10:00am - 3:00pm)
  • Hourly Rate: $18 - $20 per hour

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in math and science, particularly at the Grade 9-12 level. They will be able to teach up to three students at a time, following our proprietary methodologies and philosophies.

Responsibilities
  • Teach math and science to students of various skill levels
  • Work directly with students as an Interactive Coach
  • Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum
  • Experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 level
