About the Role


We are seeking a seasoned Senior Level Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of AAA games.



Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality levels, locations, and objectives within the project's creative constraints. They will collaborate with the Level Design team to bring levels through every phase of development from concept to polish, ensuring a seamless player experience.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-level concepts for levels, locations, and objectives, aligning with the project's creative vision.
  • Collaborate with the Level Design team to ensure timely and efficient development.
  • Lead by example, inspiring and guiding level designers on the team to deliver strong, creative designs implemented to the highest quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive understanding of project-wide issues affecting level design.
  • Serve as the vision keeper for Level Design, working closely with art, game design, and engineering directors to ensure the game meets the Creative Director's vision.
  • Incorporate feedback from research, playtest data, and community feedback to develop an engaging player experience.
  • Evaluate and evolve processes and projects daily, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • At least three years of experience as a level designer on AAA games or equivalent experience in live service game development.
  • 5+ years of experience in a design role with leadership responsibility.
  • Proven track record of designing and building levels for multiplayer games.
  • Level editor experience with 3D engines like Frostbite, Source, or Unreal.
  • Strong documentation and visualization skills.
  • Passion for playing and making games, with a deep understanding of what makes them enjoyable.
  • Multimodal work experience is beneficial.
