Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport Goods Safely: Drive lighter, special purpose trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain Vehicle Condition: Regularly inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, using appropriate lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Communicate Effectively: Relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Meet Deadlines: Ensure timely delivery of goods, meeting customer expectations and company standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid Class 3 or D driver's license.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably with long-haul experience.
  • A clean driving record, with no major accidents or convictions.
  • The ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
