Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary:

SGB FREIGHT SYSTEM is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and communication.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including fueling, tire pressure, and brake checks.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Perform brake adjustments and other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid passport.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Driver's validity license check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Long Haul Truck Driver.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
