We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cash Office Assistant to join our team at Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our cash handling team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing cash deposits, cheques and debit transactions accurately and on time, and assisting in the analysis of cashier productivity reports.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to the Bookkeeper in scheduling front-end staff.
  • Process cash deposits, cheques and debit transactions accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the analysis of cashier productivity reports, override reports, journal logs and cash tray discrepancies.
  • Ensure pricing integrity by assisting in item file data management, price changes and scan log procedures.
  • Provide assistance with store administration as required.
  • Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of cash handling experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the no-frills concept.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
  • Ability to work with minimal functional direction and be detail-oriented.
  • Available to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings.
