Job Title: Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at Patron Career Staffing. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing, while maintaining compliance with company policies and CRA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll, retroactive payments, and resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Review employee information in the Payroll/scheduling system and validate data for integrity purposes.
  • Process payroll-related entries for leave of absence, maternity leave, and unpaid payroll adjustments.
  • Prepare Record of Employments (ROEs) and provide timely and proactive communication regarding payroll to all levels of staff, government agencies, and/or private organizations as and when required.
  • Reconcile, analyze, and balance all year-end data for T4, T4A purposes, GL Accounts, Employer Health Tax, Canada Revenue Agency, and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board requirements.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in human resources, finance, accounting, or related stream with a minimum of 2 years' work experience in payroll function or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) designation or another formal payroll training would be an asset.
  • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now would be preferred.
  • Progressive payroll experience in a multi-province payroll environment would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with payroll administration, accounting, and legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be highly customer-focused to deliver timely service to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
Experience: ADP, 1 year (required)
