This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in the field and a college diploma or certificate from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Repair and Maintenance: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, road test motor vehicles, and test automotive systems and components.
  2. Estimate and Plan: Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  3. Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, perform scheduled maintenance service.
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in heavy duty truck mechanics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fast-paced environment, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to work overtime required.
