Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning Director to join our team at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the development, analysis, and reporting of institutional budgets, forecasts, and financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with operational managers and directors to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budget variances and trend analyses.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
  • Provide financial information and support to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • University degree in finance or business.
  • CPA designation with experience in public accounting practice is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience in being fully responsible for financial systems, records, data, and accounts.
  • Current knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards for the public sector.
