We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Physician to join our team as a Rural Family Medicine Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary team context.

About the Role

This position involves working primarily in Prince Rupert with occasional travel to surrounding communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive, responsive, and accessible care to Coast Tsimshian First Nations members in these communities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver well-funded, well-supported holistic care in a rural setting.
  2. Provide in-person visits and telehealth services as needed.
  3. Care for patients admitted to PRRH.
Requirements
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License.
  • Provisional Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) Eligible.
  • Mandatory Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated compensation for this position is $250,000 per annum, plus retention premium and relocation funding available. Additionally, you may be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including Retention Premium 30%, Retention Flat Fee $37,181, Relocation Funding Available $9,000-15,000, Recruitment Incentive $10,000.

Additional Information

Vacation Leave: 6-8 weeks annually, including CME. Video link/telehealth technology is enabled with access to consultation specialty services and linkage to other health professionals. The EMR platform and NH Cerner OS are used to strengthen care and connectivity to and from the communities.
