The University Hospital of Northern BC is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Specialist to join their team in Prince George.

As an Emergency Medicine Specialist at UHNBC, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the education of medical students and residents. The hospital is a level 3 trauma centre that sees approximately 47,000 emergency room visits per year, with double physician coverage available 24/7.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Emergency Medicine and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of the department.

You will also have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in Emergency Medicine, working with a team of experienced physicians and healthcare professionals.

About the Role:

The Emergency Medicine Specialist will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, as well as provide education and training to medical students and residents.

Requirements:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) certification
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
