Job Title: Charge NurseThis is a leadership role within the nursing team, requiring a high level of clinical expertise and management skills. As a Charge Nurse, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of patient care, and coordinate nursing activities to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.
- Oversee patient assignments and ensure that care is delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct assessments, monitor patient conditions, and make clinical decisions to enhance patient outcomes.
- Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, adhering to protocols and standards to maintain high-quality care.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Act as a first responder to any emergencies within the unit, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, assessments, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) is acceptable with relevant experience.
- Valid state RN license and current CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a nursing role, with at least one year in a leadership or supervisory position preferred.
- Strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
