Nurse Leader Position

BC Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in coordinating staffing coverage, providing supervision, guidance, and expert clinical support to our nursing and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to professional and clinical standards.
- Coordinate staffing coverage and adjust staffing levels to match workload demands.
- Monitor hospital utilization and oversee activity within the different areas of the programs.
- Resolve problems related to patient care and ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and departments within the hospital to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, families, and staff by following established emergency procedures and safety practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care standards and policies.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Five (5) years of recent perinatal experience, including a minimum of one (1) year's recent, related experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
- Current CPR/NRP certification and Fetal Health Assessment certification (BCWH or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, lead and make decisions independently, and develop, prioritize, and accomplish objectives.
- Excellent team building skills and ability to participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
