Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at Calmont Truck Centre in Calgary. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy machinery repair and maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in this field. You will be required to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with heavy trucks, trailers, and other equipment, as well as perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspections, lubrication, and repairs.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also need to be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, automotive technology)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy duty equipment repair and maintenance
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and diagnosing complex issues
  • Strong understanding of heavy truck systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
