Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Protective Services Professional to join our team at Paladin Security.

Salary:

$50,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Protective Services Professional, you will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance, and physical fitness to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform interior and exterior patrols within the hospital and surrounding areas;
  • Provide Use of Force/Restraint as required and directed under the Mental Health Act;
  • Escort staff and visitors as requested;
  • Keep accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service;
  • Investigate and follow-up of incidents, report writing, door opening requests, CCTV camera reviews;
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid Ontario Security Guard License;
  • Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written);
  • First Aid CPR - Level C Certification;
  • Valid Immunization Record including: MMR, Varicella, & 2 Step TB Skin Tests;
  • COVID Vaccination Status;
  • Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
