Job Title: Associate University Secretary
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Associate University Secretary to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to the Board of Governors and its committees, ensuring seamless and effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, vetting, and directing proposals from end-to-end in the governance process.
- Being the point of contact for management and reviewing all materials proposed to be submitted to the Board and its committees.
- Drafting, revising, and interpreting university policy, procedures, and guidelines.
- Supporting the Board's nomination process and advising senior management on governance rules and procedures.
- Acting as a governance liaison between the Board and management and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining strong systems to support institutional memory and coordinating timely and comprehensive communication of information to the university community.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Related experience in governance, preferably in post-secondary education.
- Comprehensive understanding of university regulations and policies.
- Excellent communication, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work fluently in both official languages, French and English.
