We are seeking an experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team at DESI DAAWAT KITCHEN INC. in a Chef role.

About the Job

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week with a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating the cost of food and supplies, maintaining accurate records of inventory and sales, and supervising kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus that meet quality standards and ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Skill Development: Train and mentor junior chefs, promoting continuous skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in culinary arts or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a senior chef or lead role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
