Job Title: Senior Landscape Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our team at PLANT Architect Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical and design aspects of landscape projects, working closely with both Architecture and Landscape Architecture teams to ensure consistency and excellence in design from schematic design through to construction completion.

About Us

PLANT Architect Inc. is a studio of landscape architects and architects who specialize in the making of personal and public space. Our primary areas of specialization include residential and institutional architecture and landscape architecture, adaptive reuse, interiors, urban infrastructure, feasibility studies, and master planning. We also offer a broad range of value-added services that include furniture and lighting design, public facilitation, and integrated graphics.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from concept through contract administration phases
  • Manage and coordinate the work of intermediate and junior staff on various projects
  • Coordinate and review technical drawings and specifications
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, team communication, consultants and clients
  • Create technical/CAD drawings and assist more junior staff as needed
Requirements
  • 10+ years professional office experience
  • Licensed OALA Landscape Architect
  • Familiar with large and medium-scale urban public realm projects
  • High level of expertise and knowledge of local arboriculture and horticulture
  • Demonstrated skills to prepare technical working drawings for both hardscape and softscape elements
  • Experience in all project phases including contract drawings and specifications, construction administration both on-site and in-office
  • Familiarity with local building codes and authority approval processes
  • Strong organizational skills including management of multiple, concurrent projects in various stages
  • Possesses a high level of graphic communication skills and spoken and written English
  • Comfortable working on a Mac platform and proficient with CAD and BIM softwares, Adobe Suite, and MS Office
