About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our team at PLANT Architect Inc. as a Project Lead. This is a full-time, permanent position that will play a key role in overseeing technical and design aspects of landscape projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from concept through contract administration phases.
  • Interact with clients, attend meetings, and make presentations.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of intermediate and junior staff on various projects.
  • Coordinate consultants, prepare conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate and review technical drawings and specifications.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, team communication, consultants, and clients.
  • Create technical/CAD drawings and assist more junior staff as needed.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate with Partners and other team members.
Requirements
  • 10+ years professional office experience.
  • Licensed OALA Landscape Architect.
  • Familiar with large and medium-scale urban public realm projects.
  • High level of expertise and knowledge of local arboriculture and horticulture.
  • Demonstrated skills to prepare technical working drawings for both hardscape and softscape elements.
  • Experience in all project phases, including contract drawings and specifications, construction administration, both on-site and in-office.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and authority approval processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, including management of multiple, concurrent projects in various stages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and mentor team members.
  • Possesses a high level of graphic communication skills and spoken and written English.
  • Comfortable working on a Mac platform and proficient with CAD and BIM softwares, Adobe Suite, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Vectorworks considered an asset.
  • Enthusiastic about landscape architecture, architecture, and design.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Driver's license ideal.
