Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MEMS Equipment Specialist to join our team at Teledyne Digital Imaging, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our MEMS equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the status of our MEMS equipment, including tracking tool status and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Manage and maintain all documentation related to the equipment, including manuals and technical specifications.
  • Source and maintain a sufficient inventory of tool spares, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures, collecting and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely repairs.
  • Work effectively with operations and engineering teams to address process issues and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
  • Provide emergency coverage and support as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Troubleshoot issues with designated tools, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Escalate required resources to effect timely repairs, minimizing tool downtime and optimizing production.
  • Document tool failure modes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing preventative measures.

Requirements

  • Educational background and/or relevant industrial experience.
  • Relevant technical diploma with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a relevant associate's degree in engineering with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and chemical systems.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and vacuum systems is an asset.
  • Chemical handling experience, including WHMIS and TDG.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Cleanroom familiarity is an asset.
