Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager

The Corporate Tax Manager at FBC Farm and Small Business Tax Consultants is responsible for overseeing the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and corporate tax returns. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as expertise in taxation and accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of tax professionals and coordinate their work to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality in the preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns.
  • Collaborate with the East Corporate Tax Manager and branch teams to create a positive experience for clients.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality standards in all financial statements and corporate tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Engage, delegate to, develop, coach, and manage the team to ensure quality and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Troubleshoot errors and collaborate with other departments to resolve them.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Corporate Tax Returns, Personal Tax Returns, and all software applications.
  • Assist Operations staff with technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma in accounting, tax, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong working knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Taxprep software.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, financial statements, and corporate tax returns.
  • Preparation of private corporate returns for farms and small business would be considered an asset.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in the Income Tax/Accounting Service, would be considered an asset.
