Job Overview

Pembina Pipeline Corporation, a leading energy transportation and midstream provider, is seeking a Tax Professional to drive corporate growth through effective tax management.

About the Role

This Senior Tax Analyst position plays a critical role in contributing to the development of long-term global growth strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for corporate income tax-related matters for Pembina and its subsidiaries, including Canadian compliance, corporate tax returns, and Canadian partnership returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Safety Culture: Embody Pembina's commitment to a safe working environment by adhering to the 'Zero by Choice' and 'Life Saving Rules.'
  • Preparation of Tax Returns: Prepare Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns and other information returns, as well as US federal and state income tax returns and filings as required.
  • Tax Provision Preparation: Calculate Canadian quarterly and annual tax accounting provisions.
  • Tracking Tax Pools and Basis: Assist with maintaining accurate tracking of tax pools and tax basis information.
  • Audit Support: Participate in preparing responses to federal, provincial, and state income tax audits.
  • Providing Tax Guidance: Offer expert tax support and guidance to internal stakeholders.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Dedicated Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in corporate, partnership, and/or international tax compliance.
  • Accounting Designation: Completion of a Canadian accounting designation (CPA/CA) and willingness to complete the CPA In-Depth Tax program.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent degree.
  • Skills: Proficiency in excel, SAP, and BPC, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
What We Offer

Pembina offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on experience, plus additional benefits, including a Flexible Work Standard that provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
