Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is a leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer, FCC to oversee our risk function, identify regulatory obligations, and provide strategic direction for the Risk function across the organization.

This role will lead the development of the FCC risk management framework, related policies, and processes, ensuring they meet business and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic oversight of FCC's Risk Framework to ensure continual development, communication, and success of FCC's Risk Management program.
  • Manage significant risk issues/events, including assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and review of remediation actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop regular reporting and present to Senior Management, the Risk and Controls Committee, and the Audit Committee on the status of FCC's Risk Programs.
  • Participate in cross-Fidelity projects, ensuring operational risks are properly assessed.
  • Communicate new risk programs/initiatives and changes to existing programs across the organization and provide training where required.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with:

  • A university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
  • Prior experience in a compliance and back-office operations role.
  • 10+ years of experience at the management level.
  • Professional designation or certificate in risk management or internal control.

  • An estimated salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per year.
