Job Title: Part Time Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Support professional to join our team at Karis Disability Services.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will assist with activities of daily living and promote life development as outlined in person-centered plans. This will involve collaboration with their team, families, advocates, friends, and community partners.

As part of the clinical duties, the Part Time Support professional may be required to provide reports on clinical interventions, liaise with clinical professionals, collect appropriate data, and actively carry out prescribed programs and treatments to address the clinical, behavioral, and/or mental health needs of people supported by Karis Disability Services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting persons through applied behavior management techniques and demonstrate the ability to respond effectively and calmly in crisis situations through verbal de-escalation and physical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with activities of daily living and promote life development as outlined in person-centered plans
  • Collaborate with team members, families, advocates, friends, and community partners
  • Provide reports on clinical interventions and liaise with clinical professionals
  • Collect and analyze data to inform clinical decisions
  • Carry out prescribed programs and treatments to address clinical, behavioral, and/or mental health needs
  • Respond effectively and calmly in crisis situations through verbal de-escalation and physical interventions
Requirements:
  • Developmental Service Worker Diploma or Apprenticeship, Child and Youth Care Diploma (CYC) preferred or related education
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, afternoons, evenings, alternating weekends, and occasional overnights
