About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full-Time Support Professional to join our team at Karis Disability Services. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, promoting life development and independence in individuals with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with the support team, families, advocates, friends, and community partners to develop and implement person-centered plans.
  • Provide reports on clinical interventions and liaise with clinical professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Complete administrative duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year experience in Developmental Services.
  • Developmental Service Worker Diploma or Apprenticeship, Child and Youth Care Diploma (CYC) preferred or related education.
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word and Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
  • First Aid/CPR and Safe Management crisis intervention certification.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Justice System.
