Perioperative Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room department at Mills Memorial Hospital. As a Perioperative Nursing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating nursing care to assigned patients, consistent with current standards of nursing practice and the clinical specialty of operating room nursing and post-anaesthetic care nursing.
Job Summary:This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to develop their skills and knowledge in perioperative nursing. You will work closely with our experienced team to provide high-quality patient care and participate in the development of our perioperative nursing program.
Responsibilities:- Provide and coordinate nursing care to assigned patients, consistent with current standards of nursing practice and the clinical specialty of operating room nursing and post-anaesthetic care nursing.
- Participate in the development and implementation of our perioperative nursing program, including the creation of educational materials and the delivery of training sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our perioperative nursing policies and procedures.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
