Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team at New Punjabi Flavours. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate special events such as weddings, corporate functions, and parties, and lead a team to ensure their successful execution.
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure profitability and efficient resource allocation.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements in advance to meet customer demands and minimize waste.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies from local vendors to maintain a consistent supply chain.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Train new staff members in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they understand our menu and kitchen procedures.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth operation and efficient service delivery.
  • Recruit and hire staff members who share our values and commitment to quality.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to impress our customers and promote our brand.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

  • The working hours are 35 to 44 per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience. This includes benefits such as medical coverage, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
