Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Sterling Floor & Tile Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, consulting with production supervisors to schedule production runs, estimating materials and labor required for production, and monitoring production progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth production and delivery of materials.
  • Consult with production supervisors to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner.
  • Estimate type and quantity of materials and labor required for production, construction, and other projects.
  • Monitor production progress and prepare and maintain progress reports.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Keep track of shipments and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Review work orders to determine job specifications and prepare project schedules.
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
  • Monitor progress of delivery schedules and maintain financial and production records.
  • Communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and estimating packages.
