Job Summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the training and/or orientation of Environmental Services staff and students.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of service is maintained throughout the Environmental Services Departments.
  • Clean assigned areas in accordance with current established cleaning schedules and infection control guidelines.
  • Prioritize and complete extra cleaning duties within established timeframes and in accordance with current cleaning schedule.
  • Conduct daily tours of areas of responsibility prior to end of shift, inspecting each area for cleanliness.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and operating efficiently.
  • Perform duties of washing, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and dusting using appropriate equipment and products.
  • Clean bed frames and mattresses as scheduled and required.
  • Collect waste and wash waste receptacles.
  • Clean and maintain housekeeping carts including restocking.
  • Restock supplies in all areas, as assigned and required.
  • Assist with inventory procedures.
  • Assist/participate in department quality control audits and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
