Facilities Maintenance Assistant

About the Role
Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.
Salary and Benefits
We offer an attractive salary of $42,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Job Description
The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of housekeeping services, including cleaning assigned areas, prioritizing and completing extra cleaning duties, conducting daily tours of areas of responsibility, and ensuring all equipment is clean and operating efficiently. You will also perform duties such as washing, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and dusting using appropriate equipment and products.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset;
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods;
- Valid driver's license (not required but an asset).
