About the RoleWe're seeking a seasoned Food and Beverage Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of Tonic Bar and Tonic House at our locations in Toronto and Los Angeles. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of Tonic Bar Team Members, Team Leads, and Tonic House Bartenders to ensure exceptional customer service and a positive work environment.
- Scheduling and Workforce Planning: Create and manage weekly schedules for the entire team, ensuring adequate staffing levels for both Tonic Bar and Tonic House operations.
- Operational Excellence: Effectively manage time and allocate resources to drive business success, maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, and ensure seamless execution of daily operations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory tracking of all food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient use of resources.
- Concept and Menu Development: Collaborate with the Senior Food and Beverage Manager to develop a long-term vision for Tonic House, incorporating seasonal promotions, menu specials, and brand partnerships.
- P&L Management: Work closely with the Senior Food and Beverage Manager to achieve monthly financial performance goals, including profitability, cost control, and sales growth.
- Proven track record of managing complex food and beverage operations with multiple revenue streams.
- Experience training and managing teams with diverse skillsets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance data and intuition in decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and guest experiences.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Interest in health and fitness is a huge asset.
- Holds valid Smart Serve and Food Handlers certifications.
