Job Overview
Paladin Security is committed to providing exceptional security services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Security Guard to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch customer service and support to clients and patrons, fostering positive relationships and ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Conduct proactive patrols to identify potential security risks and address policy breaches in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond promptly to security alarms and emergencies, utilizing crisis management skills to de-escalate situations and liaise with emergency personnel as needed.
  • Exercise crowd control and ensure the removal of trespassers from premises, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all individuals.
  • Prepare clear and detailed reports on incidents, emergencies, liability, and day-to-day activities, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Offer first aid and medical assistance when required, demonstrating compassion and empathy towards those in need.
  • Utilize communication devices and computer applications to share site information and collaborate with colleagues effectively.
  • Manage Lost & Found items and respond to inquiries from clients and staff, ensuring that property is safely stored and returned to its rightful owners.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A valid Alberta security license is essential, and candidates must be able to obtain one if they do not already possess it.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration and client relationships.
  • Candidates should possess strong observational skills, allowing them to identify potential security threats and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • The ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations, while maintaining composure and a calm demeanor, is critical for success in this role.
  • A high level of physical fitness is required, enabling guards to work for extended periods and navigate complex sites with ease.
  • Applicants must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and have a valid Alberta driver's license, which is considered an asset.

Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career advancement and professional growth within our organization.
