About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at New Furniture Gallery. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the flow of information within the team
- Direct and control daily operations
- Evaluate daily operations
- Open and distribute mail and other materials
- Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
- Determine and establish office procedures and routines
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Answer electronic enquiries
- Compile data, statistics and other information
- Respond to employee questions and complaints
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
- Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
- Maintain and manage digital database
- Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office
Work Setting:
- Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre
Work Type:
- On site
Work Setting Details:
- Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
