We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Business Strategist to join our team at Irving Oil Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for setting standards, improving processes, and maturing the Business Analysis and Testing function capabilities for Technology projects.
You will develop training and guidance materials, provide training and coaching, and perform standard Business Analyst functions such as identifying and prioritizing technical and functional requirements, getting feedback and approval on requirements, building use cases, documenting business processes, and translating business process models to technical realization.
The role also includes Test Lead functions by developing, implementing, and maintaining the testing policy/standard incorporating testing best practices and validating adherence to them across IT.
Your Responsibilities:
- Establish and mature Business analysis and Testing capabilities for Technology projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Business Analysis and Testing capabilities within Technology.
- Coach and mentor others on these capabilities as well as lead directly, as needed, on more complex technology projects.
- Facilitate requirement development sessions, demonstrate extensive experience in facilitating workshops involving multiple business stakeholders.
Your Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills working closely with team members and managers.
- Ability to manage the daily activities and needs of an entire team leveraging ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
- Utilize requirement analysis techniques such as Business Process Automation, Business Process Improvement, and Business Process Re-engineering.
Your Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of business analysis experience.
- IT experience is an asset.
